A Proposal in Leavenworth, Washington
Leavenworth will always hold a sweet spot in our hearts because that is where Miles asked me to be his wife! That was almost 10 years ago, and now we are documenting proposals for others! We truly do have the best job ever!!
Days before the planned proposal, Abhishek reached out to us asking for help. He needed advice on where to propose, how to set it up, and what to do in the moments leading up to the proposal. After a quick 15-minute phone call, we had a plan and began to prep!
We hid in the trees at Lake Wenatchee (probably the most challenging part of the whole thing is staying hidden and not looking suspicious!) and waited for Abhishek and his soon-to-be fiance to arrive. When Miles spotted the couple, we set our plan in motion. I pretended to take pictures of the “scenery” while Miles pretended to be recording a video of me.
When the couple arrived at our set-up area of champagne, flowers, and a cozy blanket, Abhishek knelt on one knee; She said YES!!
After a beautiful proposal, we spent the next hour with the couple, taking photos, giggling, and playing tourist in one of our favorite towns. At one point, Abhishek asked if he could do a “mock” proposal in the middle of downtown Leavenworth. We warned him that it might draw some attention, but he didn’t care! Down on one knee he went, again, and the tons of people around us began to cheer and holler! What a cool way to celebrate such a special moment!
